Impeller, Check and Change
WARNING!
Risk of water entry. Close the seawater cocks before
doing any work on the seawater system.
1 Close the sea cock.
2 Remove cover on the seawa-ter pump. Remove
impeller .
If there are cracks or other defects the impeller must
be replaced.
3 Lubri-cate the pump housing and the inside of the
cover with a little glycerin.
IMPORTANT:
The impeller will get damaged if other types of
lubricant than glycerin are used.
4 Reinstall the impeller using a clockwise rotating
movement.
5 Install the cover together with a new gasket. Open
the sea cock.
Always carry a spare impeller on board.
