Batteries
To start the engine immediately,
connect extra batteries or another
power source to the starter batteries.
Make sure that the starter batteries
are fully functional and charged to
ensure next start.
Replace batteries
When replacing batteries, both batteries
must have the same capacity and age.
The batteries must be connected with
the correct polarity.
CAUTION
Battery acid is corrosive and poisonous.
The batteries must be handled in an
environmentally sound manner.
Contact a Volvo workshop when replacing
batteries.
WARNING
Battery acid can cause serious burns to
the skin. If the acid is in your eyes, get
medical attention at once. Always rinse
with large amounts of water.
Do not lean over the batteries.
