Automatic radio frequency update
(AF)
The function automatically selects the best fre-
quency for the set radio station and can be acti-
vated for FM radio.
In order to find the best frequency the function
may, in exceptional cases, need to search the
entire FM wavelength.
If the set radio station is saved as preset (p. 38)
then the function does not change frequency
even if automatic radio frequency update is acti-
vated.
To activate/deactivate automatic radio frequency
updating:
1. In the normal view for the FM source, press
OK/MENU.
2.
Select
Alternative frequency.
Digital radio (DAB)*
DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) is a digital
broadcasting system for radio (p. 36). The car
supports DAB, DAB+ and DMB.
NOTE
Coverage for DAB is not available in all loca-
tions. If there is no coverage then the mes-
sage
No reception is shown in the display
screen.

Digital radio (DAB)* - subchannel
Secondary components are usually named sub-
channels. These are temporary and can contain
e.g. translations of the main programme into
other languages.
If one or more subchannels are broadcast then
the
symbol is shown to the left of the channel
name in the display screen. A subchannel is indi-
cated by the
- symbol appearing to the left of the
channel name in the display screen.
Turn TUNE to access the subchannels.
Subchannels can only be accessed via the main
channel. To access other subchannels, select a
different main channel.
