Answering system settings
Call screening
Use this feature to choose whether incoming messages can be
heard while they are being recorded.
To turn this feature on or off:
Press MENU when the phone is not in use.
Press or to scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT.
Press or to scroll to Ans sys setup, then press SELECT.
Press SELECT to choose Call screening.
Press or to choose Screening: On or Screening: Off,
then press SELECT to conrm your selection. You hear a
conrmation tone.
Number of rings
You can set the answering system to answer an incoming call after two, three, four,
ve or six rings; or toll saver. With toll saver selected, the answering system answers
after two rings when you have new messages, or after four rings when you have
no new messages. This enables you to check for new messages and avoid paying
unnecessary long distance charges if you are calling from outside your local area.
Press MENU when the phone is not in use.
Press or to scroll to Answering sys, then press SELECT.
Press or to scroll to Ans sys setup, then press SELECT.
Press or to scroll to # of rings, then press SELECT.
Press or to choose 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 or Toll saver,
then press SELECT to conrm your selection. You hear a
conrmation tone.
