  If the VTech Toy power light doesn't turn on when you press the ON button: 1. Check that new batteries are installed or that an AC/DC adapter (9V 300mA, center-position) is properly connected. 2. If the above doesn't work, disconnect all power supplies (batteries and adapter), then reconnect them. 3. If problems persist, use a ballpoint pen to press the Reset Button located on the bottom of the main unit.

  If the VTech Toy power light is on, but there's no picture (or an incorrect picture) on the TV, and the OFF button doesn't work, try removing and re-inserting the SMARTRIDGE™. If that doesn't work, disconnect all power supplies (batteries and adaptor), and then reconnect them.
