BLANKING PANEL
When a chassis is not fully populated, blanking panels (P/N: 41-0472-012) should be installed into
the empty slots to maintain proper air flow through the chassis. Blanking panels should be ordered
with the mainframe if empty slots are anticipated.
CONNECTING/DISCONNECTING LINE POWER
When connecting the power cord to an EX1200 series mainframe, there should be no connections
to the front panel of any plug-in cards that may be installed and the power switch at the rear of the
mainframe should be in OFF position. Connect the power line cord to the EX1200 series
mainframe outlet, then connect all input signals to the plug-in cards, then turn the power supply
ON. Do not touch exposed pins or connectors.
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
The fastest way to begin controlling an EX1200 is to discover the unit using LXI Discovery Tool
utility and then manipulate the instrument’s Java-based SFP. To do this, the following is required:
A PC or laptop computer
Microsoft™ Windows™ XP/7/8 OS and Internet Explorer™ (IE)
An internet connection
Java™ Runtime Environment (JRE) version 6.0 (or later)
LXI Discovery Tool
