The IO-Link master provides two options for diagnosis and event handling – via
the status byte and the Mailbox.
Diagnosis via PROFIBUS coupler is found in the appendix in section "Fieldbus-
Specific Additions" > "PROFIBUS" > "Diagnosis When Using a PROFIBUS
Coupler".
10.1 Diagnosis via the Status Byte
If register communication is disabled (bit 7 in the control byte = 0), status
information of the I/O module and IO-Link ports is displayed via the status byte.
