6.11.2 Immersion Heater(s) - Direct models.
The Immersion heater must be earthed.
Using the immersion heater fitted to the lower connection on the cylinder allows for a
greater volume of stored hot water (consideration should be given to the electricity tariff
selection to provide maximum efficiency).
Direct model cylinders may be supplied with SMART Thermostats. SMART thermostats
learn the routine of hot water use, and adjust their operation to suit this, increasing energy
efficiency.
Ensure to use correctly rated cable and isolation methods. Refer to current IEEE guidance
for details.

details.
