What to do if Water Ace R3PGI motor runs but doesn't pump water?
    • J
      Jeremy BrownAug 13, 2025
If your Water Ace Water Pump motor runs but isn't pumping water, several issues could be the cause. The inlet might be clogged, so check it and clean if necessary. The discharge line could also be plugged; clear the discharge line and check the valve for any obstructions. Another possibility is low line voltage; refer to the corrective action for low line voltage. The pump may be airlocked; drill a 1/8" (3.2mm) hole in the discharge pipe just above the pump body but below the check valve to resolve this. Lastly, the impeller or shaft might be broken, requiring replacement.

Several factors can prevent your Water Ace Water Pump motor from starting. It could be due to no electrical power; in this case, check the fuse, circuit breaker, power cord, and electrical outlet. Alternatively, low line voltage might be the issue; if the voltage wiring is below the recommended minimum, inspect the wiring size from the main source. If the wiring is adequate, contact your electric company or local hydro authority. A faulty automatic switch, a stuck float or float rod, a tripped motor overload, or an electrical malfunction could also be the cause. For a faulty switch, operate it manually and replace if inoperative.
