5.4 Transporting unit

Lift unit and position it at the installation location.
Fasten the unit using the "L" clamps provided.
Fasten the unit so that secure seating is ensured, however
the unit can be removed again later for maintenance pur-
poses if necessary.
5.6 Installing condensed-water drain line
The condensed-water drain line must match the diameter of
the condensed-water drain fitting on the condensate tray.
The condensed-water drain line must be of a sufficient size
if several air-conditioning units are connected.
Connect the condensate tray to the bilge or other
condensed-water or water-connecting points via the
condensed-water drain line.
No counter-pressure may prevail in the condensed-water
drain line. For example, never connect the condensed-wa-
ter drain line to the sea water line of the air-conditioning
system.
If necessary, create a new water collection point, comple-
te with a pump, level switch and drain line.
CAUTION
The unit is heavy and can be carried
incorrectly!
Danger of injury, damage to the system and oil
or refrigerant loss caused by dropping and
carrying incorrectly.
Only carry the unit by the condensate tray, by
the fan or by the upper pipe elbows of the
condenser.
Never grasp and carry the unit by other pipes.
See Fig. 7.
The fins of the evaporator bend easily. When
installing, make sure that bent fins are
correctly aligned again to ensure proper air
feed.

ATTENTION
Do not remove covers, caps or fittings!
Danger of damage to the electrical components
and refrigerant loss.
Do not remove covers, caps or fittings used to
protect the electrical wiring or to seal off the
refrigerant.
ATTENTION
Water damage can occur!
Danger of water damage to furniture, devices,
etc.
Do not damage the insulation of the conden-
sate tray to avoid condensed-water from
forming on the outside of the condensate
tray.
NOTE
Danger of water damage.
Route the condensed-water drain line with a
downhill slope and without water pockets to
ensure sufficient emptying of the condensate
tray and to prevent damage by backed-up
condensed water.
