When the unit is moved from left to right, ensure that the nylon line is kept away from the grass
to ensure that the grass is not thrown up.
Only use the tip of the nylon line. This way you use less nylon line and avoid grass getting caught
up in the spool.
Only take the nylon line as close as absolutely necessary to posts, walls, fences etc. Solid objects
will wear the nylon line.
Tree trunks, young trees and bushes may be damaged by the nylon line.
For the correct cutting action, swing the line trimmer from side to side as you walk forward,
holding it at an angle of approx. 20° as you do so (K).
Use the edge of the guard as a guide when cutting near fences and walls, etc. Moving trimmer in
a backwards direction will avoid damage (I).
REPLACING THE SPOOL.
Disconnect the mains plug.
Press together both locking devices on the spool cover and remove.
Remove the spool cover from the spool holder.
Remove dirt and grass residues.
Thread both cutting line ends of the new spool through the eyelets of the holder. (each one end
through one hole).
Firmly place the spool in the spool holder. Make sure that the cutting lines are not caught and pull
them approx. 9 cm out of the spool.
Place the spool cover into the spool holder and press it firmly down until the locking devices of spool
cover securely click into place.
