What to do if my Weber SMOKEFIRE EX6 is too hot?
- MMargaret ThompsonAug 20, 2025
If your Weber Grill is overheating, follow these steps: 1. Allow the barbecue to complete the shutdown procedure and cool down completely. Keep the lid closed and do not unplug or power it off during this process. 2. Once cool, power off the grill and unplug it. 3. Open the lid and remove the cooking grates, FLAVORIZER BARS, heat diffuser, and heat baffle. 4. Clean the cookbox and burn pot of ash and debris, directing it into the ash and grease system. Ensure the ash is fully extinguished before cleaning. 5. Reinstall the heat baffle, heat diffuser, FLAVOURISER bars, and cooking grates. 6. Clean the ash and grease system, reinstall the drawer, and replace drip pans if needed. 7. Plug the grill back in and power it on.
