6.9 Cables and cable-glands used must be compatible with the temperature indicated in
the certificate plate whenever it’s higher than 80ºC.
6.9.1 When the cables glands are fitted on the terminal box:
 90ºC for ambient temperature 50ºC
 100ºC for ambient temperature 60ºC
 110ºC for ambient temperature 70ºC
 120ºC for ambient temperature 80ºC
6.9.2 When the cable glands are fitted on the blanking cover of motors supplied by
flying leads:
 100ºC for ambient temperature 40ºC
 110ºC for ambient temperature 50ºC
 120ºC for ambient temperature 60ºC
 130ºC for ambient temperature 70ºC
 140ºC for ambient temperature 80ºC
6.10 Cable glands must be ATEX certified for motors ATEX and IECEx in case of
motors with certification IECEx and must have the same protection (Ex d or db IIB,
Ex d or db IIC, Ex e or eb II, Ex d or db I or Ex e or eb I) of the terminal boxes.
6.11 Before closing terminal boxes make sure that they are completely free from dust
inside.
6.12 The recommended torques of the screws to fix the terminal box covers to the
terminal boxes and the endshields to the frame are the following:
