Service Intervals
NOTE
Non-critical emission-related maintenance is not necessary to keep the emission-related
warranty valid.
CAUTION
Failure to follow these scheduled maintenance intervals could cause engine damage or
decreased engine life.
NOTE
Valve lash adjustments will be accomplished every 500 hours (1000, 1500, etc.) engine
operating time on non-emergency.
NOTE
The oil change interval is based on “normal” operating conditions. Continuous operation during
excessive hot or cold climate, constant operation with high loads, frequent starts and stops,
poor quality lubricants and fuel contaminants would require more frequent oil change intervals
to prevent shortening engine life.
NOTE
Always dispose of all chemicals and filters in accordance with Federal, State and Local laws
and regulations.
