Operating
The
Engine
1)
After
being
started,
the
engine'
should
be'
'warmed
up
with
,the
medium
speeds
(incresing
the
speed
gradually
from
600- 700
,rpm"
up
to
1000-1200
rpm).
Aviod
to
run
a
cold
engine
at
idling
speed
for
a
long
period
of
time.
The
engine
can
be
operated
at
max-
'imum
speed
and
full
load
only
after
its
cooling
water
temperature
has
reached
above
60°C.
2)
Engine
sfJeed
and
load"
should
be
increased
or"
decreased
gradually.
Aviod
to
load
unload
or
to
speed
-up
and
speed
-down
the'e,ngine
rapidly.
3)V{hen
the
e!lgine
operating
at
full
load,
it
is
best
to
main-
tainedthe
temperature
of
the
'cooling
water
within
80-
90°C.
The
wear
of
the
cylinder
liners
will
speed
up
if
the
engine
often
operat-
ing
with
the
water
temperature
below
70°C.
The
temperature.
of
the
lubricating
oil
should
not
exceed
95°C
in
general.
4)
While
the
engine
is
running,

attention
'frequ@ntly
to
the
oil
'pressure
,oil
and
water
'temperature
and
the
charging
current,
etc.·,
the
readings
of
the
gauges
must
be
within,
the
specified
lim-
i'ts
;'observe
the
colour
of
the
exhaust
smoke

attentively
