the starter

STOPPING
PROCEDURE
A manual pull type stop control (tee handle
or
knob)
Is
provided by the installer
in
a location close to the
engine's controls.
Know
the location of this control
before
attempting
to
start the
engine.
To
stop
the
en-
gine,
pullout on
thi.s
tee
handle
or
knob
fully
and
hold it out
untO
the engine comes to a complete
stop.
Push
back on this control to
retum
it to the engine run position otherwise the erigine will not
restart.
With the engine stopped, tum the
key
switch turned to the
OFF
position (12 o'clock). If the
Key
Switch
is
left
ON,
the battery will discharge.
An
engine
alarm
buzzer
is
provided
to
warn
the operator of this condition
(Key
Switch
ON).
The best
method
of preventing the battery from discharge is
to
remove
the key
from
the
Key
Switch after stopping the
engine.
CAUTION
DO
NOT attempt
to
shutdown
the engine bytumingthe
Key
Switch
OFF.
The
Key
Switch only
provides power to
the
instrument
panel:
the
engine
will
continue running
even
if
the
Key
Switch
is turned
OFF.
Shut
down the
engine
by
pUling
the
stop control
out
fully.
(An
optional key shut
off
package
is
available,
that
allows
the
operator
to
shut off the engine by tuming the
Key
Switch
OFF
which tums
OFF
an
electrically
run
Fuel
Run
Solenoid. This electrical shut
off
option
is
in-
stalled at the factory upon the specific request/order of
the
owner.)
