MAINTENANCE
RECYCLE
When your snowplow has performed its useful life,
the majority of its components can be recycled
as steel or aluminum. Hydraulic fl uid shall be
disposed according to local regulations. Balance
of parts made of plastic shall be disposed of in a
customary manner.
BLADE FINISH
If the powder-coated fi nish is nicked or scratched,
repair the blade surface with WESTERN
®
red
or black paint in aerosol or quart can from your
WESTERN outlet. Clean and repaint parts as
necessary.
EMERGENCY PARTS/TOOLS
We suggest that you keep a WESTERN
Emergency Parts Kit (PN 67880 for straight
blades, PN 69600 for HTS™ blades, PN 44796-1
for MVP PLUS™ blades and PN 50687 for
WIDE-OUT™ blades) in your vehicle. These
kits contain WESTERN hydraulic fl uid, dielectric
grease, common hoses, pins, clips, fasteners and
a motor relay.
Also keep the following items in your vehicle for
emergency use:
• 10" Adjustable Wrench
• Pair of Pliers
• Medium Screwdriver
• Miscellaneous Fasteners
Always use WESTERN designed and tested
replacement parts.
