The nozzle & venturi assembly could be dirty, plugged, or damaged. Take apart, clean, and inspect the nozzle & venturi. There could also be an inner valve fault causing a leak, in which case you should replace the seals and rotor. Check if the valve drain hose is plugged, ensuring it has no kinks, sharp bends, or any water flow blockage. Also, ensure the valve drain line and Salt Storage Tank overflow drain are not connected together by a tee; disconnect the tee and run separate drain lines. Check system water pressure, if it is low, increase well pump output to a minimum 20 psi. If daytime pressure is over 100 psi, add a pressure reducing valve in the supply pipe to the softener.
