THE
PRESSURE
ON
THE
FABRIC
AND
THE
FEED
DOG
HEIGHT
General
Sewing
For
normal
sewing,
except
when
sewing
on
very
heavy
and
bulky
fabrics,
the
center
pin
(A)
of
the
pressure
control
should
be
at
its
lowest
posi
tion,
with
the
feed
dog
height
at
the
UP
position,
obtained
by
pressing
the
part
of
the
feed
dog
height
button
to
the
right
of
the
rotary
hook.
For
special
fabrics,
as
mentioned
above,
reduce
the
pressure
by
half.
To
do
so,
press
the
outer
ring
(B)
of
the
pressure
control,
then
press
the
centre
pin
(A)
down
again,
to
the
half-way
position.

Mending
and
Darning
So
as
to
be
able
to
move
the
fabric
freely
in
any
direction
for
darning
and
mending,
release
the
center
pin
(A)
completely
by
pressing
down
on
the
outer
ring
(B).
Press
the
7j.
mark
on
the
feed
dog
height
button
so
that
the
feed
clog
drops
well
below
the
needle
plate.
To
raise
the
feed
dog
to
its
normal
height,
press
the
/‘j
(rip)
mark
on
the
button.
