8. Maintenance, cleaning and calibration
Personnel: Skilled personnel
Protective equipment: Protective gloves, safety goggles
Tools: SW 27 open-ended spanner or torque wrench

8.1 Maintenance
The instrument is maintenance-free.
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer.
This does not apply to the replacement of batteries.
Only use original parts, see chapter 11 “Accessories and spare parts”.
8.2 Battery
8.2.1 Permitted batteries
In general, all AA batteries are approved for non-hazardous areas, with a maximum
voltage supply of DC 4.95 V.
For battery use in hazardous areas, observe the additional information
for hazardous areas (Ex i) for the precision digital pressure gauge, model
CPG1500 (14571454).
Damage to the instrument
To avoid possible damage to CPG1500 or to test equipment, note the following:
Only use the listed batteries, see table 8.2.1 “Permitted batteries”.
Do not use any rechargeable batteries.
Always replace all three batteries together. Avoid mixing up old and new batteries.
The battery cover must be closed and secured via three screws.
Ensure the correct polarity.
Make sure your hands are dry when inserting or replacing the batteries.
