8. Maintenance, cleaning and calibration
If the instrument is not used for a long time (one month or longer), remove
the batteries.
Do not leave empty batteries in the instrument.
Dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries properly, see chapter
9.3.2 “Disposal of batteries”.
8.3 Cleaning
CAUTION!
Physical injuries and damage to property and the environment
Residual media can result in a risk to persons, the environment and
equipment.
Wear the requisite protective equipment.
Carry out the cleaning process in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
CAUTION!
Damage to property due to improper cleaning
Improper cleaning may lead to damage to the instrument.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents.
Do not use any hard or pointed objects for cleaning.
Do not use solvents or abrasives for cleaning.
Do not use any abrasive cloths or sponges.
1. Prior to cleaning, isolate the instrument properly from the pressure source and
switch it off.
2. Clean the instrument with a moist cloth. Electrical connections must not come into
contact with moisture.
3. Wash or clean the dismounted instrument, in order to protect persons and the
environment from exposure to residual media.
8.4 Calibration
DAkkS calibration certificate, NIST, comparable certificates or official
certificates:
It is recommend having that the instrument is regularly calibrated by the manufacturer,
with time intervals of approx. 12 months. The default settings will be corrected if
necessary.
