6.4 Tapered threads (NPT)
Connections with tapered threads (NPT) are self-sealing and normally must not be sealed. It
should be checked whether it may be necessary to seal them additionally with Teon tape or
hemp. The threads must be lubricated with a suitable lubricant before tting.
Tighten the threads by hand when carrying out the nal assembly on the plant. This will corres-
pond to the delivery status of the premounted components. The nal tightening and sealing must
be made with a spanner (1.5 to 3 rotations).
