TROUBLESHOOTING AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS English
• When a fault occurs, the red collective fault signal
LED lights up and the collective fault signal is
activated.Theerrorcodeisdisplayedfor30son
the display. Thereafter the error code can be read
from the fault memory.
• Faults that only lead to switching operations once
asettimehaselapsedareindicatedbyaashing
fault alarm LED. The error code is displayed for
30sonthedisplay.Thereaftertheerrorcodecan
be read from the fault memory.
• Self-acknowledging faults such as dry run, high
water,etc.aredisplayedbyaashingfaultsignal
on the main screen and can be read in the fault
memory.
• A fault on one of the connected pumps is indicat-
edonthemainscreenbyaashingstatussymbol
for the corresponding pump.
10.2. Fault acknowledgement
Acknowledgement of the individual errors is via
the menu.
Select menu 6.0.0.0.
Select menu 6.1.0.0 and press the operat-
ingknob-->theerrorsymbolashes.
Turn the operating knob once to the right.
The error symbol appears marked “reset”
andashes.
Press the operating knob. All faults elimi-
nated are acknowledged and the fault LED
goes out.
IfthefaultLEDcontinuestobelitorashes,not
all errors have been eliminated. Check the indi-
vidual errors in the fault memory, eliminate these
and reacknowledge these faults.
10.3. Fault memory
The switchgear stores the last 16 errors in the
fault memory. The log uses the FiFo principle
(First in/First out).
1. Select menu 6.0.0.0.
2. Select menu 6.1.0.0.
3. Select menu 6.1.0.1.
4. The last fault appears.
5. Turn the operating knob to the right. You
will then scroll through the fault memory
(6.1.0.1to6.1.0.16).

E06
Fault:Rotatingelderror
Cause: Mains connection faulty, incorrect rotating
eld
Solution: Have the mains connection checked and
setaclockwiserotatingeld.Incaseofanalter-
natingcurrentconnection,deactivaterotatingeld
monitoring via menu 5.4.7.0!
E14.x
Fault: Leakage monitoring
Cause: The moisture probe of the connected pump
was tripped
Remedy: See installation and operating instructions
for the connected pump, request these from Wilo
customer service
E20.x
Fault: Temperature monitor for motor winding
Cause: Motor winding for the connected pump is
getting too hot
Solution: Check operating conditions (water level,
running times etc.) and adjust these where neces-
sary, request these from Wilo customer service
E21.x
Fault: Overload protection
Cause: Motor protection for the connected pump
was tripped
Solution: Compare settings with the current data
on the rating plate for the pump; adjustments may
onlybemadebyqualiedelectriciansorWilocus-
tomer service!
E40
Fault: Level sensor faulty
Cause: No connection to the sensor
Solution: Check the wire and the sensor and replace
the defective component
E62
Fault: Dry-running protection tripped
Cause: Dry-running level reached
Solution: Check the unit parameters and adjust
wherenecessary;Checktheoatswitchesare
working correctly and replace them if necessary
E66
Fault: High-water alarm triggered
Cause: High water level reached
Solution: Check the unit parameters and adjust
wherenecessary;Checktheoatswitchesare
working correctly and replace them if necessary

Fault:OverridingOff:
Cause: “External OFF” contact is open
Remedy: Use the “External off” contact accord-
ing to the latest wiring diagram; Check settings in
menu 5.4.9.0 and adjust them if necessary
E80.x
Fault: Fault on the connected pumps
Cause: No feedback from the corresponding con-
tactor
Solution: Set the separate HAND-0-AUTO switch
for the pump shown to “Auto (A)”; Contact Wilo
customer service
E85.x
Fault: Max. running time for the connected pumps
exceeded
Cause:Pumpshownrunsforlongerthanspecied
in menu 5.4.6.0
Solution: Check settings in menu 5.4.6.0 and
adjust these where necessary, request these from
Wilocustomerservice
E90
Fault: Plausibility error
Cause: Float switches are in incorrect sequence
Solution: Check installation and connections and
adjust these where necessary
