> Only use a damp cloth to wipe the housing from the outside. Do not use any sharp or abrasive
cleaning agents, as they would damage the surface.
> Empty the drip tray J at regular intervals to prevent liquid from overowing (see Fig. 1).
> Clean the water tank in warm rinsing water and with clear water.
5.3.1 Coffee dispensing cartridge with strainer
The quality of the crema will diminish considerably even when there are only minor deposits in the
strainer
K. This may apply after just 100 cups due to lime deposits from very hard tap water.
> For this reason, clean the strainer regularly. When doing so, do not press against the overlapping
sieves in the strainer.
> Pull the coffee dispensing cartridge L with the strainer K downwards (see Fig. 2).
> Remove the coffee residues in rinsing water with a soft brush or place them in the dishwasher.
> If lime deposits can still be seen on the sieve of the strainer, place it in the descaling solution.
Afterwards, rinse the strainer once again.
> After cleaning, return the strainer to the coffee dispensing cartridge L.
> Re-insert the coffee-dispensing cartridge into the appliance and press it until it latches into place.
