POSSIBLE ERROR CODES
Error 1: Ambient Temperature High
The ambient temperature read by the control exceeds the ERROR TEMPERATURE limit (85°C + x) specified in
EEPROM, or the temperature sensor input has failed.
Affect: Burners disabled (unit is in Lock Mode) until the ambient temperature falls within acceptable temperature
limits.
Error 2: Heatsink Temperature High
The heatsink temperature read by the control exceeds the ERROR TEMPERATURE limit (110°C + x) specified in
EEPROM, or the temperature sensor input has failed.
Affect: Burners disabled (unit is in Lock Mode) until the heatsink temperature falls within acceptable temperature
limits.
Error 3: Ambient and Heatsink Temperature High
The ambient temperature read by the control exceeds the HIGH TEMPERATURE limit (85°C) and the heatsink tem-
perature read by the control exceeds the HIGH TEMPERATURE limit (110°C) specified in EEPROM.
Affect: Burners disabled (unit is in Lock Mode) until one or both of the temperatures fall within acceptable tempera-
ture limits.
Error 4: Ambient Thermistor Open
The reading from the ambient temperature thermistor exceeds the open circuit limit specified in EEPROM.
Affect: Burners disabled (unit is in Lock Mode) until the ambient thermistor reading returns to within acceptable lim-
its.
Error 5: Heatsink Thermistor Open
The reading from the heatsink temperature thermistor exceeds the open circuit limit specified in EEPROM.
Affect: Burners disabled (unit is in Lock Mode) until the heatsink thermistor reading returns to within acceptable lim-
its.
Error 6: Sensor Short
Two or more circuits for the various safety sensors are shorted together.
Affect: Burners disabled (unit is in Lock Mode) until a short in the sensors is no longer detected.
Error 7: Element Supervisor Fail
The element supervisor circuit has failed on or off. The supervisory circuit will be monitored at all times (once per
second in both idle and active states).
Affect: Burners disabled (unit is in Lock Mode). Activating the hobs can be attempted, but unit will return to lock
mode if the failure persists.
Error 8: Glass-touch Keypad Fail
Communications with the Glass-Touch interface chip have failed.
controller is reset. If the communication failure persists for 12 seconds, this error is triggered.
Affect: Burners disabled (unit is in Lock Mode) until communication is re-established.
Error 9: Off Key Error
An error was detected with the global off key.
Affect: Burners disabled (unit is in Lock Mode) until there are no errors with the off key.
