WOK TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible Cause Test/Action
Constant sparking at wok ignitor
Bad microswitch at burner valve Replace the microswitch.
Bad DSI board Replace the DSI board.
Arcing from DSI board to cover or unit chassis Check for breaks in insulation.
Intermittent sparking at wok
ignitor
Dirty electrode Clean debris from the electrode.
Cracked or damaged electrode Replace the electrode.
Bad microswitch at burner valve Replace the microswitch.
Arcing at cut or splice in electrode wire Replace the electrode.
Bad spark module Replace the spark module.
Poor wok ignition
Cracked or damaged electrode Replace the electrode.
Incorrect orifice size
Check the orifice stamp number. Replace the
orifice if it is incorrect.
Blockages in elbow or orifice Clear or clean as necessary.
Incorrect gas pressure Check the gas pressure using a manometer.
Bent orifice holder
Straighten the orifice holder so that the gas jet is
pointing straight down the elbow.
Incorrect gas type
Check the gas type, and advise the customer if it is
incorrect. It may be necessary to convent the unit's
gas type.
Wok does not ignite
Bad microswitch at burner valve Replace the microswitch.
Loose or bad wiring connection Check all wiring against the wiring diagram.
Bad ignitor Replace the ignitor.
Bad DSI board Replace the DSI board.
No power to the unit. Check the power outlet and circuit breaker.
No gas flow Check the gas pressure using a manometer.
Short to DSI board cover or unit chassis Visually inspect the DSI board wiring.
Solenoid is closed Verify the solenoid is not sticking.
Uneven wok heating
Unit is not level Level the unit from front-to-rear and side-to-side
Wok grate is incorrectly installed
Verify the keyed feature on the wok grate fits into
the opening on the wok top plate.
Wok is too hot Incorrect orifice Verify the orifice is correct for the gas type.
