Attach the chain to a frame member to the
right side of the pump as shown. This secures
the pump and prevents it from rotating due to
torque of the PTO.
Fill the oil reservoir with 4 gallons of hydraulic
oil. (See page 22 of the this manual for proper
oil viscosity in your region). After priming the
system you will need to add an additional 2-3
gallons, but do NOT do so at this time.
Lower the draw arm of your tractor and
remove the top link at this time. It is important
to do this before proceeding to the next step
because the draw arm lift mechanism on some
tractors can obstruct removing the top link
pin once the draw arms are attached to the
backhoe (see red arrow).
Inspect the top link pin that you will use to
attach the top link to the tractor. This pin
must be in good serviceable condition, if you
detect any defects, you must replace it with an
approved top link pin, do not use a bolt or any
other un-approved pin. WoodMaxx does not
provide this pin since it is part of your tractor.
