Install the I-beam top link as shown. Insert and
secure the top link pin to your tractor.
Raise the I-beam top link and support as
shown using wire, strap, string, or similar.
(This will keep it out of the way for the next
step)
Pull backwards on the support leg/ hydraulic
thumb lever so that the lever will allow for
“support leg” function. Note – only backhoes
with hydraulic thumb option, all other skip this
step.
Start you tractor and engage the PTO at
idol speed. After a minute or two, the oil will
circulate sufciently so that you can actuate
the support legs. Standing on the side of the
machine and clear of any pinch points, slowly
push the support leg levers forward so that
the frame of the backhoe lifts off of the crate
slightly.
