Raise the backhoe frame so that it is not less
than 10” off of the ground (red arrow) and
level from left to right. Note – larger tractors
can allow for more ground clearance if you
prefer, but it will reduce overall digging depth
capability.
Turn off the engine to your tractor at this time.
Prepare the 3-point hitch for attachment using
the following steps. Align the top link so that
when you back up the tractor that you do
not contact the backhoe frame. Suspend the
top link using wire, straps or similar as shown
(blue arrow). Align the draw arms so that when
backing up the draw arm attachments pass into
the backhoe frame attachment point. (black
arrows) Here you can see we used a driveway
stake zip tied to the draw arms to allow for the
proper spacing during this step. (red arrows)
Install the draw arm pin on the left and right
side.
