1. Measure and cu t the air d uct to length as follows:
(a t Measure the wal l t h~ckne ss L and add 32 mm (1 . 25 i n.l
See Fig. 4. Th is !s the overall l ength of llOmm 14.5 in . 1
dia meter air duct re quired.
(b) Reo ucet h eai rdu cttothe le ngth required i.e. L + 32mm

cul the expanded end. S ee Fig. 7.
2. Fit the flue te rm in al adaptor i nt o t he expanded end ot the
air duct . Slide the flue te~minal i nto the air d uc t up to t11~
ro :led stop channel. Usi ng th e ho les in the e;~~;par.deo end
of the a ir duct as a guide, drill thro u gh the adapto r and f!ue
terminal wi th the 3 mm drill suppiied. Secure the assemb ly
tog ether wi th the two No.6 x 1 Omm self tapp ing screws .

3. From the outside ease the air duct and termina! assembly
through the h ole pre pared in the wall . Ensure the 8ir duct
engages in the hole :n the wall mo:.~ rn i n g plate . It may be
necessa~y to al ign the ho le in the wai l mount ing plate with
the ho le in the cl ampin g pfate by ad ju s tin g the two socket
headed scr ews on the t op edge of the wall mount ing plate.

5. Tight en the two screws on the to o edge of the wall
mount i ng plate firmly to locate th e air duct. See Fig. 13
and 14. Ensure the air duct is securely fixed in position and
the flue assembly is in a h or izo nta l plane. Make good
ex ternal brick work or wa ll renderi ng , <he inside edge of
the rolled chan ne l fixed to the flue terminal wi ll protrude
ap
prox i mately 1 Omm (0.4 in .) tromthewall . See Fi g. 13
and 14.
6. Apply the sili co ne sealant in a bead approximat ely 6 mm
(0 . 2 5 in.) diamete r around o ut si de of the air duct and in
contact .w ith the waU moun1ing plat e. See Fig. 13.
7. l if1 the appHance onto the wall moun ting plate. Engage
the two support tabs i nto th e slot s in the back of the
appli ance casing. l oca te the t hree M 6 studs and air duct
on the wall mount i ng plate int o the back of the appliance
casing . Fasten the app lia nce to the wall mounting plate
with the three M6 nuts and washers previ ou s ly removed.
8 . Remove the fan and fl ue ho od assembly .

(b) Ease the fleKible tube from the le ft hand side of the fan
ho u sing.

cr ew the two M4 wing nuts and washers one from
ea ch s~ de of the flue hoo d assembly . Ease the flue hood
assembly off the h eat exchanger a nd o ut of the boiler
casing .
(f) Unscrew the two M4 extension wing bol ts and remove
th e flue duct clamping ring 1rom the flue duct h ousing.
9- Retain the fan assembly and M5 screw , M4 wing nu 1s i;ind
was h ers , f lue hood ass embly , M4 e>ete nsion wi ng bolt s
and clamp i ng rin g. T ake ca re not to damage the
components .
10. Reduce the 60 mm 12.4 in.] diameter Hve duct to the
required lengt h which is L + 1 20 mm (4. 75 i n. )
NOTE: Cut th e s urpl us from the pla in end. Do not cut the
flared end. See Fi g. 7.
1 1 . Fit the flu e du ct clamping ri ng and flue du ct a nd replace
the f an and flue hood a ssembly as follows :-
(a) Slide the tlue duct cl amping ri ng onto the f lue duct and ·
lo cate at the expa nde d end of the duc t with the chamfe r
agai
ns t the expan ded end. See Fi g. 7.

fc) Replace the fl ue hood assembly. Ensure the two M4 bo~ts
are co rrect ly located and secure w ith the two M4 wi ng
nu
ts a nd washers pre vio us ly removed .

fe) Replace the fa n assembly and sccurt: wi1h the MSs cr ew

12. Comp lete th e remainder of t he in stallation as detailed in

engagement of the two d uc ts is obtained . See Fig. 9.

Disengage the air du ct s and apply a smear ot siticone
seal ant around t he ou ts i de of tht: ext en sion duc t .
Reassemble and secure
with the two self ·t apping screws
suppfied . See Fig. 9.
2 . Stide t ile flue t erminal into the e)( tension air duct up to t ile
ro lled sto p channel.
NOTE: Th e flue terminal adapto r is not required and must
be dis carded.
Using the holes in the eKtension air duct as a guide , dr ill
throug h the f lu e t er mina l with t he 3mm dril l su pp lied .
Securet h eassembly togethe t wi ththe tw o No . 6 ;~~; 10mm
self tapping !>crews. See Fig. l 0 .
3. F ro m t he outs i de ease the air du ct and term inal assem bl y
th ro ugh t he hole prepared in the wa ll. Ensure the air duc t
engages
in the tlole in th e wall moun tin g plate . It may be
necessary
to align the hoi~ in th e wa ll mo u nti ng plate with
th e hole in t he c lamp i ng plate by ad ju st ing the t wo soc ket
headed screws on the top edge of the wa ll mount ing plate.

5. Ti ghten t he two screws on the top edg e of the wall
mounting plate firm ly to locate t he air du ct. See Fig. 13
and 14 . Ensure th e air du ct is secur ely fixed in positi on and
the flue assembly is in a horizontal plan e. Make go od
externa l br i ckwork or wall renderi ng , th e inside edge of
the rolled ch annel fi xe d to the flue te rminal wi ll protrude
appr oximatley 1 Omm (0 .4 in. )fro mthe wall. See Fig. 13
a nd 14.
