  Your WORKMASTER Gate Opener might be gradually losing power because internal parts are worn or sticking due to a lack of lubricant. Check the in-line lubricator sight glass or the presence of air motor oil. The average greasing interval is six months, but severe operating conditions may require more frequent lubrication. Check for excess grease by rotating the Square Drive by hand; it should turn freely. Excess grease is usually expelled automatically.

The airflow might be blocked by an accumulation of dirt, in which case you should check that all housing bolts are tight and apply Loc-Tite and retighten them if necessary. Alternatively, the motor parts may be jammed with dirt particles, so pour a liberal amount of air tool oil into the air inlet. Also, air could be escaping through a housing connection that may have vibrated loose. Operate the tool in short bursts, quickly reversing rotation back and forth, and repeat as needed. Tap the motor housing lightly with a soft-faced mallet. Disconnect the air supply, then attempt to free the motor by rotating the drive shank manually.
