The rechargeable battery is only precharged to a low level. Therefore,
charge the rechargeable battery before first use.
1. Insert the mains plug of the charger (18) in the socket.
2. Push the rechargeable battery release button (9) and pull the
rechargeable battery (8) out of the rechargeable battery holder.
3. Push the rechargeable battery through the charging slot of the
charger over the contacts until it audibly locks into place (see
fig. 3).
4. The charge indicator will initially illuminate in red.
The charge indicator will turn green once the rechargeable battery
is fully charged. During the charge process, the mains plug, charger
and rechargeable battery will warm up. This is due to operational
reasons and is not a defect.
5. Let the rechargeable battery cool down to room temperature if it
heats up during the charging process.
6. Pull the mains plug out of the socket.
7. Slide the rechargeable battery into the rechargeable battery holder
of the cordless hammer drill until it audibly locks into place (see
fig. 2).
The cordless hammer drill is now operational.
Operation
Risk of injury!
If you use the cordless hammer drill improperly, you could
hurt yourself and other persons. The drill bit will heat up
during operation.
