2. Introduction
2.1 Machine Overview
The ME1 laser enclosure is "Class I" certified to be used with the Keyence MD-F, MD-X and
ML-Z Series lasers. All reference to the set-up, use, maintenance, and care of the laser marker
should be directed to the literature supplied by Keyence. This manual covers only the
operational aspects of the ME1 enclosure.
CAUTION – USE OF CONTROLS/ADJUSTMENTS OR PROCEDURES OTHER THAN THOSE
SPECIFIED HEREIN, MAY RESULT IN HAZARDOUS RADIATION EXPOSURE.
2.2 Machine Labeling
CAUTION "Class 4" Invisible Laser Radiation Label
This label is provided as a warning that when the side panels are removed, the enclosure will no
longer be operating at a Class I safety level, it will be at Class 4
