SECTION F: LOGS & SERVICES
The Logs list provides information on View-R activity. The
following are examples of the type of information that is logged
in a few of the files:
1. crontab.log - Chronological information on View-R activity.
2. date.log - Date specific activity information.
3. db_backup.log- User initiated database backups from the
Database Management settings
4. db_delete_backup.log - User initiated database deletion
5. db_restore.log - User initiated database restore from the
Database Management settings
6. db_system_backup.log - System initiated backup that occurs
everyday at 3:00 am local time.
7. ethernet.log - Changes and activity in EtherNet
Configuration.
8. server-1.log - Logs server activity
9. server-2.log
10. server-3.log
11. system.log - Logs System backup activity that occurs at
3:00am local time each day
12. update.log - Tracks View-R reboot information.
THE CONTROL_<TIMER_IP>.LOG FILES AND THE SERVER.LOG FILES
ARE KEPT 5 MB MAXIMUM WITH A 10 FILE LIMIT. ALL OTHER LOG
FILES ARE 5 MB MAXIMUM WITH A 5 FILE LIMIT.
THE LOG FILES ARE USED FOR TROUBLESHOOTING.
