• If Auto Power Off is enabled, the printer powers off automatically after the specified
conditions are met. To enable Auto Power Off mode, contact your System Administrator. For
details, refer to the System Administrator Guide at www.xerox.com/office/ALC81XXdocs.
Caution: Do not plug or unplug the power cord while the printer is powered on.

To restart the printer, place the printer in Sleep Mode, or power off the printer:
1. At the printer control panel, press the Power/Wake button.
2. Select an option:
• To restart the printer, touch Restart.
• To place the printer in Sleep Mode, touch Sleep.
In Sleep Mode, the touch screen goes dark and the Power/Wake button pulses.
• To power off the printer, touch Power Off. A Please Wait message appears as the printer
powers off.
3. If you want to power off the printer for an extended period, open the printer front door, then
power off the main power switch.
Caution: Do not unplug the power cord while the printer powers down.
