4.4 Disinfecting unit and chair surfa-
ces
Use soap and disinfectants to disinfect surfaces. Please read
below.
4.4.1 Cleaning and disinfecting unit surfaces
Clean and disinfect the surfaces of the unit using a cloth with
Dürr FD-322. Use a clean cloth.
Look out for disinfection liquid dripping from the
cloth.
After disinfection of the instrument bridge’s surfa-
ces, the disinfection fluid must completely evaporate befo-
re the rubber device is replaced.
4.4.2 XO 4 Lamp
The splash screen may be removed for cleaning by the two
screws. Clean and disinfect with soap. Use a clean cloth.
The reflector can be cleaned carefully using tap water and a
mild soap.

4.4.3 Handles

The instrument bridge, lamp and screen handles are removed
by pressing the knob (1) at the end of the handle.
The handles can be autoclaved at max. 134°C.
4.4.4 Cuspidor bowl
Before removing the cuspidor bowl, turn the cuspidor rinse pipe
away.
The cuspidor bowl, cuff and cupholder can be cleaned and dis-
infected in a thermodisinfector (90°C).
