9 Quality of dental air and water

Please note that the quality of dental air and water might be sub-

ject to special regulations set out in national laws.

The effective filter size on XO 4 is 5 m for air and 50 m for

water.

In order to ensure proper operational conditions for XO 4 we re-

commend the use of (an) oil-free compressor(s) equipped with

a dry air aggregate.

XO 4 fulfils the requirements in EN 1717 concerning the back-

flow of water if it is configured with XO-305 or XO-306. These

backflow protections are designed with an air gap > 20 mm and

prevent water from XO 4 from flowing back into the public supply

line. If the above named backflow protection is not mounted,

then the water supply to XO 4 must be secured against backflow

in another way.
