6 Product Interface
The VESDA VLF provides the following information and control options without the need for additional
configuration tools.
l Detector status: Normal, Alarm, Disabled and Fault.
l Alarm levels: Alert, Action, Fire 1 and Fire 2.
l Smoke levels relative to Fire 1.
l Detector fault types (Instant Fault Finder).
l Test, Reset and Disable.
l AutoLearn Smoke (setting alarm thresholds).
l AutoLearn Flow (setting baseline for normalizing air flow and flow thresholds).

Front view of the detector as installed and operating. This view shows cable and air sampling pipe entry
points, the Instant Recognition display and the fitted exhaust deflector.
