  If the warning buzzer sounds or the indicator lamp lights up on your Yamaha Outboard Motor, consider the following: * The cooling system might be clogged: Check the water intake for any restrictions. * The engine oil level could be low: Fill the oil tank with the specified engine oil. * The specified engine oil might not be used: Check and replace the oil with the specified type. * The engine oil might be contaminated or deteriorated: Replace the oil with fresh, specified type. * The load on the boat might be improperly distributed: Distribute the load to place the boat on an even plane.

  If the starter on your Yamaha Outboard Motor isn't working, here's what you can check: 1. The battery capacity may be weak or low: Check the battery condition and use a battery with the recommended capacity. 2. Battery connections might be loose or corroded: Tighten the battery cables and clean the terminals. 3. The fuse for the electric start circuit could be blown: Check for the cause of the electric overload and repair it. Replace the fuse with one of the correct amperage. 4. The shift lever may be in gear: Shift to neutral.
