3. Slowly tilt the outboard motor down.
4. Place the tilt lock lever in the lock posi-
tion.

Procedure for tilting down (power
trim and tilt models)
1. Push the power trim and tilt switch “ ”
(up) until the outboard motor is support-
ed by the tilt rod and the tilt support knob
becomes free.
2. Pull out the tilt support knob.
3. Push the power trim and tilt switch “ ”
(down) to lower the outboard motor to
the desired position.
