Air filter
The air filter should be cleaned at
the specified intervals. It should be
cleaned more frequently when riding
in unusually wet or dusty areas.
1. Remove panel B. (See page 6-6
for removal and installation
procedures.)
2. Remove the air filter case fitting
screws and the air filter case
cover.

3. Remove the air filter from the
case.
4. Unlock the spring wire.
5. Remove the air filter elements
from the frame and clean them
with solvent (kerosene). After
cleaning, remove the remaining
solvent (kerosene) by squeezing
the elements.
6. Apply recommended oil to the
entire surface of the each element
and squeeze out the excess oil.
They should be wet but not
dripping.
Recommended oil:
YAMALUBE 20W40 Type SG
