If the ignition system on your Yamaha Scooter isn't working correctly, start by checking the fuses (Main, ECU, and ignition) and replacing any that are blown. Next, inspect the battery terminals, clean them if necessary, and recharge or replace the battery if it's not holding a charge. Also, examine the spark plug; re-gap or replace it if it's faulty. Check the spark plug cap and replace if needed. If these steps don't resolve the issue, further inspection of the ignition coil, crankshaft position sensor, main switch, sidestand switch, lean angle sensor, and entire ignition system wiring may be necessary, replacing components as needed. If all else fails, consider replacing the ECU or addressing any wiring harness issues.
