Periodic maintenance
5. Install the air filter case cover.
6. Place the holding clips in the original position.
7. Remove the dust cap on the air filter case cover for
accumulated dirt or water.
8. If dirt or water is visible, clean it, and then install it.
Spark arrester (For models equipped
with a muffler)
1. Remove the screw.
The engine should never run without the air filter
element; excessive piston and cylinder wear may
result.
The engine and muffler will be very hot after the
engine has been run.
Avoid touching the engine and muffler while they
are still hot with any part of your body or clothing
during inspection or repair.
