  If you're not getting any sound from the center speaker of your Yamaha Receiver, first check that the output level of the center speaker isn't set to minimum and raise it if necessary. Also, make sure that “CENTER” in SET MENU is set to the appropriate setting for the center speaker, not NONE. Finally, if you've selected one of the HiFi DSP programs (except for 6ch Stereo), try another sound field program.

  If there's no sound coming from the surround speakers on your Yamaha Receiver, first check that the output level of the surround speakers isn't set to minimum—raise it if it is. Also, ensure that “SUR. LR” in SET MENU is set to the appropriate setting for the surround left and right speakers, not NONE. If you're playing a monaural source with STRAIGHT, press STRAIGHT (EFFECT) to turn on the sound fields.
