Overview

The YA-MAN Bloom 6 (YJFS16PN) is a home-care beauty device designed for facial treatment, incorporating various technologies to promote skin health and appearance. This user manual provides comprehensive guidance on its safe and effective use, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Function Description

The Bloom 6 device utilizes a combination of Radio Frequency (RF), Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS), and LED light to deliver a multi-faceted facial treatment.

  • Radio Frequency (RF): The device emits RF energy, which is designed to warm the skin. This warming sensation is a key aspect of the treatment, and the device includes a temperature sensor to ensure safety by automatically reducing output if the skin or electrode head becomes too hot. If the temperature becomes excessively high, the device will turn off for safety, indicated by the electrode head flashing and beeping five times. In such cases, a 30-minute rest period for the device is recommended.
  • Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS): EMS works by delivering electrical pulses to stimulate facial muscles. This feature can be toggled on or off by pressing and holding the Level button, except when using the "Power level" mode, where EMS is always active. Users may experience a tingling sensation or discomfort from EMS, especially on the cheeks or chin. If strong discomfort occurs, it is advised to consult a physician. The intensity of EMS can be adjusted, and it's recommended to start at Level 1 and gradually increase as accustomed. Depending on muscle mass, some skin areas might be more difficult to feel the EMS.
  • LED Light: The device also incorporates an LED light. The LED lights up and activates output when both the device is touching the skin and the current sensor detects activity. Users are cautioned not to look directly into the LED light. When treating areas around the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or outer corner of the eye, it is crucial to close the eyes and keep the electrode head at least 5 cm away from the skin to prevent damage to the eyes or skin.
  • Current Sensor: This sensor measures the current output value and controls it to prevent excessive current, ensuring a safe treatment experience.
  • Motion Sensor: The motion sensor detects the movement of the device. For safety, it pauses output if the electrode head is used continuously on the same area. If the device movement slows, the motion sensor may reduce the level of warmth. This encourages users to keep the device moving across the skin.
  • Touch Sensor: The touch sensor works in conjunction with the current sensor. When both detect contact with the skin, the LED lights up and the output is activated. The timer for treatment only counts when the device is touching the skin, ensuring accurate session timing.
  • Resistance Factor Control: This feature detects how easily the skin current flows and adjusts the current to provide the appropriate output for the treatment, adapting to individual skin conditions.

Usage Features

The Bloom 6 is designed for ease of use with several intelligent features:

  • Power On/Off and Level Selection: The device is turned on by pressing and holding the Power button. The Power button, Level button, Level lamp, and electrode head will light up, activating RF, EMS, and red LED outputs. Levels can be adjusted by pressing the Level button, cycling through Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Power level. The current treatment level is indicated by the Level lamp.
  • Pre-testing on Skin: Before initial use, a pre-test is mandatory to ensure compatibility and prevent skin problems. This involves washing and drying a small area on the inner side of the arm, applying a pearl-sized drop of the included skin care product to the electrode head, and moving the device over the skin for about three minutes at Level 1. After the test, any remaining product should be rubbed into the skin, and the user should check for abnormalities within 24 hours. If any rash, redness, itchiness, stinging, or other abnormality occurs, discontinue use.
  • Application of Skin Care Product: A pearl-sized drop of the included skin care product should be applied to the center of the electrode head for each facial area. It is crucial to ensure sufficient liquid (skin care product or water) between the electrode head and the skin for smooth movement and effective stimulation. Insufficient product can lead to weaker stimulation and skin problems. The device should be moved slowly, ensuring the entire electrode head remains in contact with the skin.
  • Treatment Areas and Duration: The facial treatment is divided into eight areas, with specific movements recommended for eye area, face contour, smile lines, and forehead. The recommended speed for moving the device is 4 cm/second. For levels 1 to 3, the recommended duration is about 6 minutes for the entire face. For the Power level, it's about 10 minutes. The device will make a long beep and pause output after approximately 30 seconds for eye area treatment (levels 1-3) and after approximately 3 minutes for other areas (levels 1-3). For the Power level, it pauses after approximately 5 minutes. To resume treatment after a pause, press the Power button.
  • Standby and Auto Power-off: After 3 minutes (for levels 1-3) or a set time (for Power level) from the end of half-face treatment, a buzzer will sound, and RF and EMS output will pause (standby function). The Power button and Level lamp will flash. To restart, press the Power button. If the device is not operated within approximately 5 minutes of entering standby mode, it will automatically turn off after two short beeps.
  • Battery and Charging: The device features a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It can be used cordless or connected to an AC adapter. A full charge takes approximately three hours at an indoor temperature of 25°C, providing about 30 minutes of operating time. The Power button's light color indicates the remaining battery level: white for sufficiently charged, orange for low, and red flashing for needing a charge. While charging, the Power button blinks. Once fully charged, it stays on for about 5 seconds before turning off.
  • Personal Memory Function: The device remembers the last used level and whether EMS was on or off, returning to these settings the next time it's switched on.
  • Safety Precautions during Use: Users are advised not to press the device strongly or use it intensively on a single area, as this may damage the skin. Avoid using the device while driving. Do not allow it to contact other beauty devices or electronic appliances while powered on, or use it simultaneously with other electronic products like electric blankets. If the device feels too hot, move it more quickly or lower the intensity level. If undergoing dental treatment or having teeth fillings, choose a lower intensity level and apply the device to a different area. Avoid using the device on the same area for longer than 3 minutes, and ensure at least a 24-hour interval between treatments on the same area.

Maintenance Features

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of the Bloom 6:

  • Cleaning: After each use, it is essential to clean the parts of the device that come into contact with the skin. First, turn off the device and disconnect the AC adapter. Then, wipe off any dirt using a well-wrung soft cloth. For stubborn stains, a cloth soaked in a diluted neutral detergent can be used gently. Any remaining skin care products between the electrode rings should be removed with a cotton bud or cotton pad.
  • Water Resistance: The device is not waterproof. It must not be washed in water, as this can cause malfunction. If water droplets fall on the main unit or charging terminal, they should be wiped off immediately and thoroughly.
  • Storage: Store the device in a clean, well-ventilated place, out of reach of children. The AC adapter should be removed from the main unit and power outlet when not in use for extended periods. Avoid storing the device in hot or humid places, near flames, in bright sunlight, or in a bathroom.
  • Avoidance of Solvents: Do not wipe the device with solvents such as alcohol, thinner, benzene, nail polish remover, kerosene, chemicals, or polishing powder, as these can damage the surface.
  • Pre-use Check after Storage: If the device has not been used for a long time, check its normal functioning before restarting.
  • Troubleshooting: If any abnormality is perceived, refer to the troubleshooting section of the manual to identify and resolve the problem. If the issue persists, contact Global After Service or a local distributor.
  • Battery Disposal: The lithium-ion battery is a valuable recyclable resource and must be removed before disposing of the appliance. The manual provides detailed steps for safe battery removal, emphasizing turning off the power, disconnecting the adapter, and using appropriate tools to avoid injury or damage. Follow local government rules for proper disposal and recycling of the removed battery.
