The governor lever (Figure 4, (1)) controls the
engine speed. The lever is linked to the engine
speed control device in the driven machine.

The high idle speed limit screw restricts the
maximum engine speed when the engine is
operated without a load. The high speed limit screw
is adjusted at the factory and then is sealed and a
tamper proof plug (Figure 4, (2)) is installed. The
sealer and plug should not be removed. If high idle
speed requires an adjustment see your authorized
Yanmar industrial engine dealer or distributor
The low idle speed limit screw (Figure 4, (3)) sets
engine speed while it is idling.
