D: Tight to each (419) Strap Long place one (418) Strap Short and tight to the rst (418) Strap Short place one
(419) Strap Long. Make sure the wider gap on each strap is on the outside. Make sure the assembly is square,
pre-drill the rst (418) Strap Short with a 1/8” drill bit, as shown below, then attach both (418) Strap Shorts with
six #8 x 1-1/2” Wood Screws per board and (419) Strap Long with eight #8 x 1-1/2” Wood Screws. The screws
where the straps meet are inserted at an angle. (g. 7.3 and 7.5)
E: Tight to (420) Rafter Top attach a second (420) Rafter Top with six #8 x 2-1/4” Wood Screws. (g. 7.4 and
7.5)
