DUAL CIRCUIT UNITS
2. Louvered panels are installed to reduce flow of air
over the inactive side of the condenser to aid in pre-
venting liquid build-up.
3. Below 45°F (7.2°C) fans are cycled by discharge pres-
sure only.
COMPONENTS
When the Low Ambient Kit is installed, the following
physical changes are made to the standard chiller:
1. One normally open solenoid valve is added to each
condenser circuit liquid line.
2. Louver panels are added to one side only of each
condenser circuit.

3. Wiring harnesses are added as necessary. See Wir-
ing Diagrams.
4. SW2 on the Micrologic Board is in the ON position.
R1 on the Combo Board must be adjusted to the de-
sired low ambient cut-out. This should be done while
Viewing Display Code 0,7.
5. 1 capacitor and varistor is added to the terminal block
located in each compressor mounted junction box.
FAN AND LOW AMBIENT SOLENOID CYCLING
The chart shown below and Fig. 70 explain how fan cy-
cling is controlled and in what sequence. The chart also
indicates when the low ambient liquid line solenoid valve
(LSA) functions.
*Fan “G” not present on all chillers. See Fig. 70 CONDENSER FAN LOCATIONS.
