Function Description
The Zanussi ZITN641K is a built-in induction hob designed for household cooking purposes. It features four induction cooking zones that generate heat directly in the bottom of suitable cookware through a strong electromagnetic field. The hob is operated via sensor fields on a control panel, allowing users to activate/deactivate zones, set heat levels, and manage various functions.
Key functions include:
- ON/OFF: Activates and deactivates the hob.
- Heat Setting: Allows users to set heat levels from 1 to 9 for each cooking zone.
- PowerBoost: Provides additional power to induction cooking zones for a limited period, enabling faster heating. After this period, the zone automatically reverts to the highest heat setting.
- Lock / Child Safety Device: Locks the control panel to prevent accidental changes to heat settings during operation or accidental activation of the hob.
- Automatic Switch Off: Deactivates the hob automatically under certain conditions, such as all zones being deactivated, no heat setting being selected after activation, spills on the control panel, the hob overheating, or incorrect cookware being used.
- Residual Heat Indicator: Displays the level of residual heat for cooking zones, warning users of hot surfaces.

- Intuitive Control Panel: Sensor fields allow for easy operation of the hob. Displays and indicators provide feedback on active functions and heat settings.
- Cookware Compatibility: Designed for induction-suitable cookware (cast iron, steel, enamelled steel, stainless steel, multi-layer bottom). Cookware should have a thick, flat, and clean base. The hob automatically adapts to cookware dimensions, but efficiency is related to the diameter of the cookware.

Maintenance Features

- Cleaning Procedure:
- Switch off the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning.
- Do not use water spray or steam cleaners.
- Use a moist soft cloth and neutral detergents. Avoid abrasive products, pads, solvents, or metal objects.
- Immediate Removal (while hot): Melted plastic, plastic foil, sugar, and food with sugar should be removed immediately with a special hob scraper at an acute angle to prevent damage.
- Removal (when cool): Limescale rings, water rings, fat stains, and shiny metallic discoloration can be cleaned with a moist cloth and non-abrasive detergent.
- Shiny Metallic Discoloration: Can be cleaned with a solution of water and vinegar.
- Service and Repair: In case of malfunction, users should contact an Authorised Service Centre and use original spare parts. The manual provides troubleshooting steps for common issues like the hob not activating, error codes, or constant beeping.
