Installation Instructions
This kit includes the parts and documentation necessary to install the
RK18931-010 Latch Switch Assembly Kit for the P4T/RP4T model printer. Read
these instructions thoroughly before attempting to install this kit.
Tools Required
#0 or #1 Phillips Head Screw Driver
Removing the Latch Switch Assembly
1. Remove the Upper Housing from the Lower Housing by removing five screws on
the bottom of the printer and two screws under the media cover.
2. Unplug the Latch Switch cable located next to the Motor Cable connector (J4) on
the main logic board.
3. Remove the three (3) self-tapping screws from the Gear Retainer to expose the
Clutch Take-up and Clutch Supply assemblies as previously described.
4. Remove the remaining self-tapping screw and washer from the Gear Retainer
which holds the Latch Switch Assembly in place (left picture below).
5. Detach the Latch Switch Assembly from the Gear Retainer by sliding it straight
up and off the two plastic posts (right picture below).
